In the Villa, Salvatore created the new Dining Room with hand carved wood-panelling; the ceiling was decorated with frescoes reproducing four battleships from the Orlando shipyard. He widened the main entrance hall and the stairwell.

In the East Drawing room the fresco with a flight of wild ducks was as a tribute to the surrounding environment. He assembled a beautiful collection of furniture, paintings, prints and objects, most on hunting subjects, which is still untouched today.

Every year during the hunting season, Salvatore invited friends and acquaintances for shooting parties in the marshland or in the woods.

There was plenty of small and big game: pheasants, hares, deer and bores. Afterwards in the large kitchen the game was prepared and cooked by a small army of cooks and served to the guests in the dining room.
